Building off the success of their first store in Calallen, Champs Meat Market is coming to town with their grand opening at Star Plaza on October 14, 2023.
“One of the things people love about Champs is the convenience,” said co-owner Christian Ockels. “We’re making it easier for our customers to make Champs-quality meals at home. With a wide variety of premium grab-and-go meats and more, we hope everyone will be excited to come in, enjoy the flavors and, over time, try it all.”
The grand opening will feature food and beverage tastings, photo opportunities, a chance to meet the owners and more. Big Frank of K99 iHeartMedia will be there covering all the fun. And the young and talented Bria Stone, who entertained at one of the Champs recent wine tastings in Calallen, will play her ukulele and sing.
“We’ve put our all into this market. Every detail, every decision from pasture to table is about creating the best possible experience for our customers.” said co-owner Jason Peeler. “The grand opening will be a great day for food-lovers in Corpus Christi.”
Along with chef-inspired sides, the new store features a butcher counter, dry agers, beer cave, wine selection, full demonstration kitchen—and an almost endless supply of the meat, house specialties and cuts that put Champs on the map.
